Park district: Wilmette’s Park District has a lot of great features! While not technically part of the Park District, all of my kids learned to sail at Sheridan Shores Sailing School, and love hanging out at the sailing beach.
Favorite hangouts: For food & wine, Valley Lodge Tavern, Nick’s Neighborhood Bar & Grill, The Bottle Shop, Wilmette Wine Cellar, Depot Nuevo, Taco Lago, Trendy Taco, and Fuel. More than just a coffee joint, The Rock House has live music & music lessons. Lawrence Deans Bakery will satisfy all of your sweet cravings and their custom cookies are awesome.

Park district: Northfield Park District recently refreshed many of their playing fields.
